Ant-Man & The Wasp Trailer: Size Isn't Everything

Here's the multi-sized cure for your Infinity War sadness.

Marvel Studios answers Avengers: Infinity War cast's question about the tiny superhero duo with Ant-Man & The Wasp second trailer. The first trailer teased its titular heroes on the run, and now they are rescuing the original Wasp (Michelle Pfeiffer) while chasing the movie's villain, Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen, Ready Player One).

The trailer teases many of the first one's strengths: Scott Lang's relationship with his daughter Cassie and how he often messes things up, the return of fan-favorite Luis (Michael Peña) and his team, and inventive action sequences that utilize the whimsical science of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). New faces, Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins) and Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), are featured more prominently. The latter is also known as Goliath from the comics, who can grow himself larger like Ant-Man did in Captain America: Civil War.

However, this sequel is putting Hope van Dyne/The Wasp into the spotlight as she becomes Scott's partner in crime-fighting and cracks jokes about men's obsession with sizes. Ant-Man & The Wasp is also driven by her personal cause, which is to save her mother from the Quantum Realm. The main villain Ghost wants this technological advancement for herself, and Burch only stands between her and the heroes.

Though the movie is out this July, the events seem to occur before (or right before?) Infinity War as Earth hasn't been affected by Thanos' evil deeds. While the intergalactic crossover is fresh in our minds with its shock and inspiration, Ant-Man & The Wasp might cheer us up by its size-altering thrill and absurd comedy.

Ant-Man & The Wasp is due in theaters this July 6.
